I usually have to re-schedule tasks due to many circumstances. Sometimes I used to forget about tasks in the past due to not being able to handle some stuff on time.
I tried many mechanisms and many programs. In the end what worked best for my case and my current circumstances is the following:
I’m using Notion Calendar (that allows to include events from both Google Calendar and Notion databases and is also modern and comfortable to use).
I’m adding personal tasks to google calendar as BLUE, then critical, important and time sensitive tasks as RED.
Then when after doing a task, once per day or per week I change the color of the events that I have done to GREY.
And reschedule or reevaluate the ones that have not been done. Nornally with other people is involved, stuff is usually done on time, but if not I talk with stakeholders to propose new times for them.
So in a completed week typically everything is in grey:
It is easy and fast to do this process, and allows me to ensure everything is handled one way or another.
Before reaching the calendar I have another mechanisms for stuff that I will explain in another post.
